About Supergun CinemaSupergun Cinema was "manifested" in the year 2000 when Geoff Meech, Chris Bohren, Mike Venner, Bill Stepec and Denis Logan set out to make a short film demonstrating the anguish felt by a young and sexually confused Hamlet. Since then, they have given life to everything from the young and sexually confused King Lear to the young and sexually confused Macbeth. The name "Supergun Cinema" came during post-production on the short film, King Lear 2000. While Geoff edited the video together, Bill and Denis played with Lego. It was out of these building blocks that Bill Stepec created a galactic-class scientific research vessel codenamed "Supergun". It was outfitted with deadly-looking decoy lasers, to protect it from harm as it carried about it's benign purpose. The name stuck- it represented our outlandish use of violence, language and bad puns; with the overall purpose of education and the further advancement of mankind. In a nutshell, that's what we were doing- entertaining our friends with the silliness of movies, while trying to show things we thought important to life. In the pre-production phase of Macbeth 3000, Supergun Cinema became a registered business, and a full fledged "Guerilla" production company. The company is 'run' by Geoff Meech, Harmeet Bindra, Matthew Snowball, Denis Logan, and Bill Stepec.

About Macbeth 3000Macbeth 3000: This time, it's personal is actually the 3rd installment of corn-ball Shakespeare adaptations we had been making throughout high school. The predecessors, Hamlet and King Lear 2000, received a substantial amount of interest from our peers, and it only seemed logical to take our filmmaking one level higher. Denis penned the script over many drunken nights, and brought it to Geoff, who agreed to direct. Bill Stepec was cast in the lead role as Macbeth, and we began scouring the drama classes for more talent. With a starting budget of $500, we bought props at toy stores and got our costumes from thrift shops. Geoff purchased the camera for around $1000, and before we knew it, more and more people began throwing in their money- later on, Paul Bindra signed on as executive producer and financed some much needed equipment (Boom mic, mixers, computer hardware, and almost everything Harmeet used to create the score). The first production meeting was held during our last high school year, and many of the people who showed up were given substantial roles in the film- Jason Loftman, Hans Kelso, Chad Holmes to name a few. Little did these people know that it would be almost 3 years later before the film first screened.

About Harmeet BindraMost noted for his resounding original score in Macbeth 3000, Harmeet Bindra is a technical genius, audio wizard, master guitarist and special effects wizard. Currently attending courses at Berklee University of Boston, Harmeet Bindra may just be the next John Williams (albeit a funnier name). Harmeet was in charge of all audio aspects in Macbeth 3000, and with his co-conspirator Da-Rell Clifton, fleshed out some professional-quality audio at consumer prices. Harmeet also enjoyed a brief success in acting on the short film, King Lear 2000. Find out how to contact Harmeet here. |
About Denis LoganDenis E.S. Logan wrote the original drafts for Macbeth 3000, as well as the majority of films available here. He also enjoys the performance aspect of the filmmaking process. A somewhat outspoken young lad, Denis is already hard at work on new screenplays and plans to make his feature-length directorial debut shortly. He also shares web mastering responsibility with his lifelong chum, Bill Stepec. In Macbeth 3000, Denis played British Agent Macduff, sporting an ridiculous accent and wrinkled tuxes for the role. He has also appeared in several short films, theatrical productions, as well as being the front-man for the now-defunct dark-comic-rock band "The Spatulas".

About Bill StepecBill Stepec is a large part of the humor in Supergun Cinema; he's the guy with the sharp wit; slinging zingers like they were broken arms and he was the doctor of love.
