This weekend, I put my camera to good use, finally. I’ve been so busy developing projects lately, but there’s been little video to show for anything, so I feel very relieved to have something new on tape.
Thursday through today (Sunday) I’ve been shooting “snippets” for use in a Poke Show sketch, and I only have to shoot my “segment” and then edit it, which I plan on doing tomorrow. So that’s done.
Saturday night, I went over to Geoff’s basement with Bill and Jenn and we shot all but the last pick-up for our “Canadian Show” pilot. Had a little fun with a green-screen, shot Geoff suiting up as a ninja, and edited a bit of the episode before watching The Omega Man on DVD.
Waking up this morning with a killer hangover, I somehow managed to pull through as Bill and I went to Pascal’s to shoot some video for Saveslot. We wrapped shooting inside of an hour and I’ve already assembled a rough cut this evening- looks pretty good. I’ll have to dig into a more concise edit this coming week, but we’ve finally found a concept that’s easy to film and fun to create. I think we want to get a back-catalog of videos before we launch the site, so it may be a while before I post those vids.
But for now it’s off to bed, to get ready for another busy-ass week full of work, filming, writing and learning. What a job. Can’t wait to get paid to do this full time.
