Happy Holidays from The Superblog

Ho Ho HorribleFirst off, happy holidays to all those foolish enough to be reading this in your time off. Go out, take a walk… oh wait, the weather is terrible and windy in Toronto, so maybe it’s just best to stay indoors, next to the heat of a cooking turkey and read stupid, pointless blogs like this to waste the Yule-time away. Or in my case, bathed in the warm glow of a computer monitor WRITING stupid blog posts… when really, we should all be in bed, hibernating through this stupid, slushy winter weather. The bears got it right, man. Except for the part about technology. If bears had embraced technology back when they ruled the Earth, just THINK of where they could’ve been today…
But I’m really quite the humbug when it comes to the holidays. All this running around being a consumer in packed malls makes me cynical. People are MONSTERS when herded into chapels of consumerism. Savages.

As for my screenplay progress, I’ve been lax, as editing for Saveslot’s “Genesis” episode has taken most of my time, but I have been dabbling in it from time-to-time, and my ideas are expanded from what they were and my characters are more defined as I figure out scenes. I’m more working on outlines at the moment. Each act is going to be outlined before I write it on a case-by-case basis, so I can be free to improvise as I go through scenes. It’s a first draft, so anything goes. A first draft, to me, is like running around a public garden completely nude and not being arrested; however, the second draft moves up a notch and requires pants, but still no shirt. By the third draft, we hope to be fully clothed, but I’ll tell you a secret… My scripts NEVER wear underpants…

Anyway… Stay tuned soon for info on Saveslot. We currently have about 3-4 episodes almost ready for release… we need to write and film one more and then we’ll start getting them online, and I’ll put them here as well for no other reason than my own satisfaction.  But thanks for visiting, and have a good holidays!
