So I rented Eastern Promises the other night, knowing only two things: Cronenberg directs and Viggo Mortensen plays a Russian guy.
The movie itself is well written and paced… it follows a British nurse (Naomi Watts) living in Russia and getting tangled up in the Russian mob scene. It’s like the Russian Godfather, only more “murder-mystery”… […]
