Macbeth 3000: This time, it's Personal
Macbeth 3000, the first feature-length film from the independent guerilla-filmmakers, Supergun Cinema, is a compelling mix of comedy and action. Featuring an all-original score from Harmeet Bindra, a Bond-style car chase, real physical explosions, the ghost of a dead child-molesting government employee dancing on the table, and all the butchered Shakespeare one could ever hope to glean from life, Macbeth 3000: This time, it's personal, is a thrill of a ride that will cause you to spill your wine and cheese all over the couch as you die laughing and loving too much. Two hours long, and made for around $10,000 by young teens from the Toronto area, we thank everyone who has supported this project in conception through the jam-packed screenings.
You thought Shakespeare was dead?
You were wrong.
In
October of 2005, the trailer for Macbeth 3000: This time,
it's personal, won the "Best Trailer" title at the
Youngcuts Film Festival.
A gargantuan thank you to the Youngcuts team, who had the
Trailer screen on the
Razor
channel; featured on
the show 969.
In 2007, CBC screened a portion of the trailer on CBC
Exposure, and due to popular demand, played the trailer in
it's entirety on the next episode to a national audience.

Macbeth
and Macduff were agents of the dangerous kind- America and
Britain's finest secret weapons. But when Macbeth and his
(semi-platonic) partner Banquo are confronted by three
witches who prophesize their rise to power, things become
unclear as to the lines of right and wrong. With the
naggings of his power-hungry wife, Macbeth is forced to take
the prophecy in his own hands... but there is one small
problem.
Macduff has been sent on his next mission- and Macbeth is the target. As tension rises and people start dying, it only becomes too clear to the agents: only one of them is walking away from this one... because this time, it's personal.
In this action-packed, comedy-stacked thrill ride of an over-the-top Shakespearian adaptation, witness the movie that put Supergun Cinema on the map.
